Yogananda Paramhans

Yogananda Paramhans mentioned the meeting  Mahavatar Babaji in his autobiography, referring to his guru Yukteshwar Giri’s guru and India’s well-known spiritual personality Shyamacharan Lahiri.

At that time, Lahiri Maharaj had been transferred to Ranikhet by the British. One day, he went for a walk in the mountains a little away from Ranikhet, and there he had the vision of an extraordinary young man

When that young man ( ( Mahavatar Babaji ) called him by name, he was astonished. Later, that young man told him that in a previous birth, Shyamacharan was engaged in penance with him. That young man showed Shyamacharan his asana and other worship rituals, and suddenly he remembered his past life.

Later, this young man ( Mahavatar Babaji ) also gave initiation of Kriya Yoga to Shyamacharan Lahiri in this cave. Since then, this cave has become very famous among spiritual lovers and curious seekers.

This young man was named ‘Mahavatar Babaji‘ by Yogananda Paramhans. Yogananda Paramhans said that on Earth, avatars of God like Ram, Krishna, Buddha came, did their work, and left, but Mahavatar Babaji did not reveal himself to the public.

He is such a great avatar who has been showing the path to humanity for thousands of years. He continuously works to enhance the spiritual progress of humans and collective consciousness.
