Rafting’s Instructions:

  • During river rafting, your biggest support is your guide, so every instruction given by the guide must be listened to and followed. Following the guide’s commands allows you to enjoy rafting to the fullest.
  • Before the rafting begins, the guide will explain several important instructions, which must be followed carefully during the ride. Following the guide’s directions ensures the raft’s balance is maintained, and your journey remains safe.
  • For safety during rafting, it is essential to wear your life jacket and helmet properly. These provide protection during the ride. If the raft capsizes, the helmet will protect you from injuries, while the life jacket will help you float in the water.
  • Do not loosen or remove the locks of the helmet or life jacket during rafting, as this can cause the life jacket to come off in an emergency, putting you in danger.
  • A raft typically accommodates 6 to 8 tourists along with one guide, meaning the operation of the entire raft depends on both the tourists and the guide. For this reason, each person is given a paddle. Rafting works best as a team effort, and paddling is a key part of it.
  • Using the paddle ensures the raft moves smoothly, and you should paddle only as instructed by the guide. Before rafting, the guide will show you how to properly hold and operate the raft’s handle.
  • In rapids with strong currents and waves, the raft may capsize multiple times, which is part of the adventure. Occasionally, all or some passengers may fall into the water, which can make tourists panic, increasing the risk of accidents.
  • However, if you are wearing your life jacket and helmet correctly, there is no need to panic. Instead, remain calm and act carefully. Your guide, being highly trained and experienced, can quickly rescue you and the raft. In such situations, it is crucial to follow the guide’s instructions.
